Police said that after the aircraft landed, crew members discovered a handwritten note containing obscene and abusive remarks left behind on the passenger’s seat. The matter was escalated to airport security and local law enforcement, following which the accused was taken into custody for questioning. A formal case was registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including sections related to sexual harassment and use of criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
