Cochin International Airport has launched CIAL 2.0, a ₹200 crore digital upgrade focused on boosting passenger convenience, safety, and cybersecurity. One of the biggest highlights is the launch of India’s first Cyber Defence Operations Centre (CDOC) inside an airport, developed in collaboration with CDAC. This centre will protect the airport’s digital infrastructure from cyber threats in real time. The upgrade also includes touchless full-body scanners, AI-powered surveillance, automated tray systems, and advanced baggage scanning, making Cochin one of the most modern and secure airports in India.
