According to preliminary information from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the aircraft was on approach to the airport when it crashed under circumstances that remain under investigation. The Routt County Coroner’s Office later identified the four victims, all residents of Tennessee: Aaron Stokes (47) - Founder of Shop Fix Academy and a prominent figure in the automotive repair industry. Jakson Stokes (21) - Son of Aaron Stokes. Colin Stokes (21) - Nephew of Aaron Stokes. Austin Huskey (37) - CEO of Huskey Building Supply, a family-owned construction materials company. Authorities confirmed that all four bodies were recovered from the crash site and that next of kin have been notified. The aircraft, registered to ALS Aviation LLC of Franklin, Tennessee, had departed earlier from Kansas City Downtown Airport and was en route to Steamboat Springs, according to FAA records and flight tracking data. The Epic E1000 is a high-performance turboprop aircraft capable of carrying up to six passengers. Investigators are focusing on the final moments of the flight, including weather conditions, pilot actions, and aircraft systems. The NTSB and FAA have launched a full investigation into the crash. Wreckage has been secured and will be transported for further examination, including engine and avionics analysis. A preliminary report is expected within several weeks, while a final probable cause determination could take several months.

Colorado, United States: Two people tragically lost their lives early Friday morning when a small plane crashed just southeast of Centennial Airport in Colorado. The aircraft involved was a Beechcraft BE35, which went down around 6:20–6:25 a.m. in a business park near 8636 South Peoria Street, according to South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The first reports described an explosion, and by the time emergency responders arrived, the plane was engulfed in flames near a bank of diesel-powered generators that were also at risk of igniting. SMFR spokesperson Brian Willie confirmed firefighters were able to douse the fire before it spread to nearby buildings or equipment. Thankfully, no one on the ground was injured. The Douglas County Coroner’s Office will identify the victims once families have been notified. Air traffic control recordings captured by LiveATC.net shed light on the final moments before the crash. The pilot was cleared for takeoff and informed to line up on runway 17R for touch-and-goes. Soon after, another pilot in the area radioed, “Tower, there’s smoke off the left side looks like he went down.”Seconds later, someone added: “Appears he crashed in a parking lot about a mile southeast of the field.” ATC immediately alerted emergency crews. The FAA and NTSB have launched an investigation, with the NTSB taking the lead. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the event or who might have video footage from nearby businesses to email eyewitness@ntsb.gov. Colorado, United States: A mid-air collision between two small aircraft at Fort Morgan Municipal Airport on Sunday morning left one person dead and three others injured, officials reported. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), a Cessna 172 and an Extra Flugzeugbau EA-300 collided while both were on final approach to land at the airport. The Morgan County Sheriff's Office received the first report of the crash at approximately 10:44 a.m. local time. Emergency crews including deputies from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, personnel from the Fort Morgan Police Department, Colorado State Patrol, Fort Morgan Fire Department, and Morgan County Ambulance arrived promptly at the scene. The two occupants of the Cessna 172 sustained only minor injuries and were treated on-site. In contrast, one occupant of the EA-300 was taken to a local hospital, while the other was declared dead at the crash site by the Morgan County Coroner’s Office. Following the collision, both aircraft crashed and caught fire. A plume of smoke was visible from afar, and bystanders rushed to help extinguish the flames before first responders arrived. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched a joint investigation, with the NTSB expected to take the lead on determining what caused the crash. In a statement, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to the victim’s family: “We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim in this tragic event. We would like to express our gratitude to all the agencies that helped with this situation. Additionally, we want to thank the citizens who assisted in trying to extinguish the fire until the fire department and first responders arrived on the scene.” The crash occurred during a weekend aerobatics competition at the airport involving Metropolitan State University of Denver’s collegiate aerobatics team. University officials clarified that their event was unrelated to the collision. Meanwhile, the airport has been closed temporarily as investigators and emergency teams continue their work.
