Belgian civil aviation authorities have initiated a formal investigation into the circumstances that led to the aircraft taking the wrong surface for departure. The Boeing 737 aircraft was diverted to Kochi as a precaution after the flight crew received an alert indicating a technical issue related to the landing gear. Emergency response protocols were immediately activated at the airport, and the aircraft landed safely without incident. All passengers and crew disembarked safely, with no injuries reported. Airport authorities said fire and rescue services were deployed along the runway as part of standard safety measures. United Flight 803, operating a Boeing 777-200ER with 275 passengers and 15 crew members on board, departed Dulles around midday for Tokyo’s Haneda Airport when one of its engines lost power. According to the FAA, the flight encountered a power loss in one engine shortly after departure.
