The Private Pilot License (PPL), is your first goal as a pilot. The PPL provides foundational knowledge and skills for all future aircraft pilot training. As a Private Pilot, you can fly an airplane day and night in visual flight conditions. In fact, you can even carry passengers, such as friends, family, and co-workers. You cannot fly for paid compensation or hire. However, you can share the operating expenses with your passengers.

Microlight flying is an aero sport which has gained popularity in recent times. The sport has been revolutionary in the sense that it has given everyone an opportunity to experience the exhilaration of soaring in the sky, miles above the ground, without the high expenses of the usual flying options available.
Microlight flying, also referred to as ultralight flying, is an activity where you pilot a lightweight aircraft, usually a one or two-seater with fixed wings. Today’s Microlight flights can cover much larger distances at high speed of 100mph. The maximum number of people it can carry is 2, and the maximum All Up weight is not more than 472.5 kilograms.

Becoming a Sport Pilot is one of the most straightforward ways to get into the air. It’s cheaper and less complex than obtaining a full-fledged private pilot License, but offers more privileges than those available to Microlight pilots. For many people, the Sport Pilot License represents the perfect middle ground.
