The airplane, which carried 165 passengers and 6 crew members, encountered poor weather conditions, including high gusts and a slick runway.

The plane, registered LN-NIP, came to a stop barely 15 meters from the ocean. Despite the horrific situation, all passengers and crew were safely evacuated by emergency slides. There have been no injuries reported.
