Abu Dhabi: Starting from March 30 through October 25 of 2025, British Airways will suspend its flights between London Heathrow and Abu Dhabi due to issues caused by the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines which power their Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The Trent 1000 engine has created severe delays and operational issues for British Airways, leading to flight cancellations and schedule changes. Due to ongoing delays, the airlines temporarily suspended flights to Abu Dhabi, a key destination in the Middle East.

Customers affected by this decision will be able to rebook their tickets with British Airways’ partner airlines, which include Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways or receive full refunds.

The airline apologized to passengers for any inconvenience and said it is working with Rolls-Royce to resolve engine supply difficulties.

British Airways has altered its network in a variety of ways due to this issue. The airline has canceled flights to Kuwait International Airport and ceased daily service from London Heathrow to Dallas-Fort Worth for the summer of 2025. In addition, the airlines confirmed in October that all flights from London Gatwick to New York will be canceled starting December.
