France: In a terrible incident near Saint-Dizier, northeastern France, two aircraft from the Patrouille de France, the renowned aerobatics team of the French Air and Space Force, collided mid-air during a rehearsal on Tuesday. The two Alpha Jet planes were performing maneuvers near Air Base 113 when the collision occurred, leading to one aircraft crashing into a silo and igniting a fire.
The three crew members aboard the planes—two pilots and a passenger—ejected successfully before the collision and were found conscious. Despite the crash, there were no civilian casualties, and the French Air Force confirmed that emergency services were quickly on-site to assist the survivors.
One of the crew members sustained multiple injuries, though their condition is reported to be stable.
The Patrouille de France is known for its precision aerobatic performances, and this incident marks a rare and alarming event in the history of the unit. Following the crash, Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu extended his support, confirming that the injured crew member was receiving necessary medical attention
