Ohio, United States: A twin-engine Cessna 441 Conquest II crashed Sunday morning in a wooded residential area of Howland Township, Ohio,

Alabama, United States: A small aircraft crash near the intersection of County Road 95 and Gardner Road in Elberta, Baldwin County, has prompted an active investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), following an unusual discovery at the crash site. Aircraft Details and Crash Site According to initial reports, the downed aircraft is a Cessna 182, a single-engine, four-seat light airplane commonly used for general aviation purposes. The aircraft reportedly went down at approximately 10:10 a.m. on Thursday, June 27. First responders from the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Elberta Police Department, and Elberta Fire Department arrived promptly at the scene. Upon arrival, responders discovered the aircraft resting in a privately-owned field with visible signs of damage. What appeared to be a high-impact landing had resulted in significant structural damage to the airframe and cockpit windows. Absence of Occupants Raises Questions One of the most concerning and mysterious aspects of the incident is the absence of any occupants in or around the wreckage. Authorities confirmed that the aircraft was a two-seater, but no pilot or passengers were located at the scene. Emergency personnel reported the presence of blood within the cockpit, along with shattered glass, suggesting that someone may have been injured during or after the crash. However, no individuals were found at the location, and as of the latest update, no one has contacted local hospitals or law enforcement agencies to report related injuries. Baldwin County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a perimeter search around the crash site but were unable to locate any persons connected to the aircraft. Local hospitals were also contacted in an attempt to identify any walk-in patients with aviation-related injuries, but none had been reported as of Friday morning. Investigation and FAA Involvement The Federal Aviation Administration has taken over the investigation and confirmed that their inspectors will arrive on-site in the coming days to begin a detailed analysis of the aircraft. The FAA is expected to identify the aircraft’s registered owner through its tail number, which remained intact despite the crash damage. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has not yet announced whether it will join the investigation, though FAA sources indicated that coordination with other federal agencies remains possible depending on the findings. The cause of the crash has not been determined. FAA protocol requires a thorough review of the aircraft’s maintenance history, weather conditions, and potential pilot-related factors. It is currently unclear whether the aircraft was departing from or arriving at any local airfield, or whether the flight was filed under a flight plan. The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has urged members of the public to come forward with any information that might assist in identifying the aircraft’s operator or understanding the circumstances of the crash. Residents near the crash site are being asked to report any unusual activity or individuals seen exiting the area during the morning hours of June 27. Authorities are also reviewing security footage from nearby properties to determine whether the aircraft’s flight path or any potential occupant movements can be tracked post-impact.

Khajuraho, India: A training aircraft operated by the Indian Flying Academy made an emergency landing at Khajuraho Airport on Tuesday after experiencing a serious technical snag involving the landing gear. The incident occurred during a routine flight training sortie and has since triggered a regulatory probe by India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). According to airport authorities and official sources, the training aircraft encountered a malfunction in its rear right landing gear shortly after takeoff. In response, the crew chose to remain airborne for nearly two hours in a holding pattern. This decision was made to reduce the onboard fuel load and minimize the risk of fire during the emergency landing. As part of standard emergency protocol, foam was sprayed on the runway to further enhance safety conditions for the returning aircraft. The aircraft landed on two functional wheels at around 3:40 PM. Upon touchdown, the aircraft skidded off the runway due to the failed gear, but both the flight instructor and trainee pilot on board escaped unharmed. The situation was promptly brought under control by the airport's emergency response teams. No fire was reported, and there was no disruption to commercial operations at the airport following the incident. Authorities from the DGCA have confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the root cause of the landing gear failure. Preliminary reports suggest that the crew followed all necessary safety protocols and managed the situation with composure and professionalism, thereby avoiding a major accident. This incident brings renewed focus to safety practices at Indian flying schools, which have been under increased scrutiny. The DGCA has recently emphasized the importance of standardizing training operations across flight academies and ensuring that infrastructure, aircraft maintenance, and instructor qualifications meet rigorous aviation standards. Additionally, new transparency directives now require flying schools to publicly disclose their fleet details, student-instructor ratios, and CPL training timelines, allowing students and parents to make informed decisions. While no injuries were reported in the Khajuraho emergency, the event serves as a reminder of the real-time challenges faced in flight training environments and the critical importance of emergency preparedness. The Indian Flying Academy has not yet released a detailed statement but is said to be cooperating fully with regulatory officials in the ongoing inquiry. Further updates will follow as the investigation progresses.
